My mother is 58 years old and currently experiencing homelessness in Pennsylvania. She has been working closely with social services to get her life back on track, but right now she is facing the loss of her PO box and storage unit. These are the last connections she has to her personal belongings and her ability to receive important mail, which are both crucial as she tries to rebuild her life.

On top of everything, my mom recently had to give up her beloved cat—her best buddy—to foster care. Losing her companion has left her absolutely heartbroken, and it’s been incredibly hard for her to cope with so much loss at once. Her cat was her source of comfort and hope, and being separated has made this time even more difficult.

I am all the way in Colorado and am desperately trying to help the only way I can right now. This fundraiser is to help make sure she doesn't lose even more than she already has. Losing her storage unit and PO box would mean losing the last of her belongings and her connection to vital services, which would be an incredible setback. Your support can help her hold onto these essentials while she continues to work with social services and take steps toward stability. If possible, funds may also help cover a few days of shelter, giving her a safe place to stay during this difficult time.
