Hi, my name is Yasmin Dantas. I’m the daughter of the person who this fundraiser is for. My mom is an incredible person, and she is being treated the worst way a human-being could be possibly treated.
On June 3rd this nightmare started. My my mom is in ICE custody all because of me. I feel guilty to this day for allowing her to take me to court. On June 3rd both of us were detained by ICE in Charleston, South Carolina and transferred to Stewart Detention Center, Lumpkin Geórgia.
There we were both separated. I was medium-high in uniform. And she was in low uniform. Which is very good for her. But wasn’t good for me at the given time.
I know I’m rambling and y’all want me to get to the point, so here it goes: I was successful after returning home to my country of origin to finally speak to her after two months.
If you are familiar with immigration and how the US government and embassy is treating immigrants, you’ll definitely understand why this is important to me.
I was deported without signing any documentation saying so. My mom is at risk of doing the same. They already have harassed her tried to manipulate her into signing such documents. And she said, “no I won’t I’m fighting my case”, they laughed as she was insane.
My mom is an excellent and insanely big-hearted woman. What she is going through, I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. She is being neglected medical treatment. Her physical and mental health is taking a toll.
My mom; she isn’t eating properly. She has lost tremendous weight since I last had contact with her when I could see her. She is refusing to get out of bed. She cries most of the time. And only prays to god, that this nightmare will end.
Talking about this, makes me super emotional. I just wish other people could see her in the condition she is as of right now. She isn’t healthy and let alone she is being denied her rights as of right now.
This coming week she is awaiting court. She was successful in finding a lawyer who is trying everything in their will to get her back to her home.
Since she is having court. Which is for her bond. She is needing in between $1,000-$5,000 by the given week to bond her out. If possible can y’all help whether it’s a donation of $50 or $25. It still shows you care.
Among all this chaos. My grandma is in the States awaiting for my mom’s return so she can come back to our home country. She is taking care of my mom’s house and responsibilities and she is also in high risk of getting deported.
All I ask is for this contribution. Because family is the #1 thing that values the most amongst anything else. Family keeps us together. This is our fight and I want my mom to win her case. So please help with my mom’s case. I’m honestly heartbroken all this is going on.
