Help My Pregnant Sister Get Her Power Back On!
Donation protected

Hello, my name is Johnnie and I’m trying to raise money for my sisters and mom, who are all living together. Their house currently has no power due to hardship, and the power company will not turn it back on until the account is paid in full. The reason that the electric bill is over $3,000 is due to a myriad of different reasons and circumstances.
For a little backstory, my mother has been living at this residence for over 10 years. She never had trouble paying any bills and keeping the place together, even though she didn’t make much money to begin with. A few years back, setbacks began piling up on her; her car was vandalized (totaled), she was laid off from her job, and she started having a lot of medical problems, such as losing her hearing, her scoliosis worsening, and her teeth needing to be pulled/replaced. This has put a lot of strain on her and my youngest sister since they live together. On top of that, my eldest sister is also now living with her because of terrible circumstances in her own life. She has two children, one who lives with her, and has a third on the way (she is 7 months pregnant).
My main concern is the well-being of my sister and soon-to-be-born nephew. The father of the child refuses any sort of support, so she is on her own. My sister doesn’t deserve to have a new baby in a house that has no lights or refrigerator. She is a great mother and a kind-hearted person. She still works a full-time job to help support everyone there, but her income alone is not enough. Not only is her money going to the whole household, her car also needs major work done, so she can’t save up to take care of this huge bill.
The main reason they are in this situation today is my mother was too embarrassed to ask for help when things got out of hand. She tried setting up payment plans multiple times, but due to a low-paying job and worsening medical issues, she simply couldn’t keep up, and the power company imposed heavy penalties.
With it being the middle of winter and the weather being harsh every day, it is of the utmost importance that they get their power back on. Please help my mother and sisters have a livable environment again, and also a warm house for my new nephew to arrive to. Thank you so much for reading this, I greatly appreciate any help I can get for them!
