Hi im kellys daughter Ashleigh, Very early this morning, December 1st at 2:30 a.m., a fire completely destroyed our mom’s trailer and everything inside it. She was able to get out safely (that’s the most important thing), but she lost her phone, car keys, clothes, furniture, medications, glasses, and every personal belonging she had.
The fire also caused damage to a couple of neighboring units, and unfortunately her insurance is only covering a small portion of the loss. Right now she’s staying with family and trying to figure out next steps with literally nothing but the clothes she escaped in.
Our mom has always been the first person to help anyone who needs it—driving friends to appointments, checking on neighbors, bringing food when someone is sick. She’s kind, hardworking, and never asks for anything in return. Today she could really use some of that kindness coming back to her.
No amount is too small—$5, $10, or $20 all add up and mean the world right now. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page with your friends and family would help more than you know.
Thank you so much for reading and for any support you can give. It’s a tough day, but knowing people care will lift her spirits more than anything.
With gratitude,
Her Kids
