Hello, my name is Wafa.
I am the mother of two boys, Mo Saleh (6 years old) and Omar (2 years old). They are the joy of my life and the soul of my family.
Unfortunately, my family is not whole right now. We live in Gaza and have been displaced several times during the recent insurrection on Gaza. When the Rafah border was open, we were able to raise enough money to evacuate my Mother-in-Law, who needed medical attention, and my older son, Mo Saleh. They currently live with my Sister-In-Law, Yarin, in Cairo, Egypt and I have not held my child in over a year now.
My husband, my Father-in-Law, my younger son Omar and I remain in Gaza, where we are currently sheltering in a tent at Mawasi near Khan Younis. Danger is all around us daily and we struggle to find food, clean water, firewood, medication or even diapers for Omar.
The Zionist forces from Israel have blocked all aid from entering Gaza, so the entire population of Gaza is trying to make do with whatever little we have. There are goods in the market, but they are exorbitant. Imagine paying $800 US for a bag of flour!
We need to survive this because I need to get back to my son. My family must be whole again. At this moment I am not fundraising for evacuation, as the borders are closed; but I am asking if you could please donate a little bit to us to help us afford any goods that we need at the market to survive.
Please help us. Every little bit counts and will help me get closer to the day that I am able to hold Mo Saleh in my arms again.
Thank you for your generous support and may God bless you.
