I never imagined I would be writing these words, but my heart is shattered as I share the devastating reality my family is now facing. My own brother Raghunath Reddy Kolagotla, only 39 years old, is gone. Just hours ago, we lost him after a relentless battle with end-stage kidney disease and a severe brain hemorrhage that left him paralyzed. He fought with everything he had, but in the end, his body could not endure the suffering any longer.
He was more than just my brother—he was my pillar of strength, my greatest supporter, and a man who carried the weight of his entire family on his shoulders. He was the sole breadwinner, working tirelessly to provide for his wife, their two young beautiful children - a 12-year-old daughter and a 7-year-old son. He sacrificed so much to give them a life filled with love, security, and the promise of a better future.
Now, that future is uncertain. His children are too young to fully understand the gravity of what has happened. They still wait for their dad to come home, to hear his voice calling their names, to feel his embrace. But reality is cruel—he will never walk through that door again. He will never hold their hands, guide them through life, or see them grow into the incredible people he dreamed they would become.
My brother was a fighter in every sense of the word. Even in his weakest moments, he never stopped worrying about his family. He worked hard, not for himself, but for his children’s education, their happiness, and a future where they never had to struggle the way he did. Now, with his sudden passing, I refuse to let those dreams die with him.
I am setting up this GoFundMe because his family needs help now more than ever. His wife is left to raise their two children alone. This fund will go directly toward his children’s education, their daily needs, and ensuring his wife have some stability in this incredibly painful time.
I am humbly asking for your support—any amount, no matter how small, will help secure the future he worked so hard to build for his family. If you cannot donate, please share this campaign with others who might be able to help.
Though my brother is no longer with us, his love, his sacrifices, and his dreams for his family live on. Let’s come together to honor his memory by standing beside the family he left behind.
From the depths of my heart, thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and your prayers.
With love and gratitude,
Ravikanth Reddy Kolagotla and his loved ones
