Help My Homeless Aunty

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

I’m reaching out to ask for your support in helping my aunty, who is currently going through an incredibly difficult time. She recently lost her home in a devastating fire, which destroyed many of her belongings. Now, she and her six children — including a son with autism — are homeless and temporarily living in a hotel.

As a single mother, she carries the heavy responsibility of caring for her children alone, acting as both mother and father. She is currently waiting for emergency housing, but once she moves in, she’ll need to furnish everything from scratch.

What makes this more personal for me is that this same aunty once stepped in to help my mother when she was a divorced woman with five young children under the age of 10. She taught my mom how to drive and bought her groceries when we had no one else to turn to. I’ll never forget her kindness, and now I want to repay her the way she supported us.
