Help My Grandparents Rebuild After a Devastating Scam

My grandparents are two of the most selfless people I know. In their 80s, with my grandfather being a disabled veteran, they still dedicate every day to caring for their 60-year-old daughter — my aunt — who has autism and cerebral palsy. They’ve spent their lives making sure she is safe, loved, and cared for.

Recently, they became the victims of a cruel scam, and we’ve been told it’s very unlikely that their money will be recovered. In a matter of moments, their entire savings and checking account — $8,000— was stolen. This was everything they had to cover their living expenses, medical needs, and the care of my aunt.

At their age, starting over financially isn’t easy, and the emotional toll has been just as heavy. They are heartbroken, and it’s hard watching people who have given so much suffer like this.
