Teklu and Oh are two amazing people. They have been an enormous help to our Indigenous Community, the LGBTQ+ community and the Indigenous Artists community for over a decade. They have spent many years supporting others while asking extraordinarily little for themselves. They are incredibly talented and giving people ... and they are my friends.

Several weeks ago, Teklu shared with me an issue weighing heavily on his mind. He had recently found out his sister was diagnosed with STAGE 4 CIRRHOSIS OF THE LIVER WITH ASCITES. As with any stage 4 diagnosis the outlook is problematic with the extreme outcome being fatal. Luckily his sister is not at that point, but she does need help. And that's where Teklu and Oh are jumping in to help out. They are uprooting their lives to move to Indiana to help out Teklu's sister and her children as the family goes through this trying situation.

And they need a little help to accomplish this goal. Moving across the country costs money and medical situations cost money. These two generous people have given a lot of themselves and now need the generous support of the community to help them support their family. They would never ask for money, so I felt inspired to create this fundraiser to help them. Their moving expenses, housing expenses and travel expenses are growing larger than expected. And they are getting tough to manage without a little support. Sharing a small donation will help provide this family to heal and to live.

Teklu and his sister have not been together for over 15+ years due to several factors. During this time of struggle they will be reunited and able to find a familial togetherness and balance needed to bolster each other. Please donate to help bring together a family for healing and protection.
