My friend has always been the kind of person who gives everything she has to help others, even when she has little herself. Recently, she made the brave decision to leave Spokane, Washington, escaping a dangerous domestic violence situation. She arrived in Colorado Springs with nothing but hope for a safer future, only to face more hardship. Without a home, she was forced to sleep outside, and her health quickly declined. She suffers from polycystic kidney disease and, soon after arriving, developed walking pneumonia. She was hospitalized, but the care she received was limited, and she left the hospital still in need of support. Now, she has no car, no clothes, and no way to meet her basic needs. Everything she owned was left behind in her escape, and she is truly starting over from scratch. Despite all of this, she remains one of the most selfless and kind-hearted people I have ever met. She doesn’t drink, smoke, or use drugs—she just wants a chance to live in peace and safety. I am doing everything I can to help her, but I can’t do it alone. The funds raised here will go directly toward helping her secure safe housing, access medical care, buy clothes, and hopefully get a car so she can rebuild her life. If you can donate, share this fundraiser, or even send words of encouragement, it would mean the world to both of us. Thank you for helping someone so deserving find hope and a fresh start.
