I am raising money for my good friend and her mother, whom I care deeply about. They recently moved from Eureka, California to Canton, Ohio, believing they had a stable place to live with family. They used all of their savings to make the move, including renting a truck and covering travel expenses. When they arrived, the situation changed. They were expected to provide full-time childcare in exchange for housing. When they set boundaries, they were told they could no longer stay. They are now in a new state with nowhere to live, very limited funds, and are currently living out of their car while putting their belongings into storage. They also must return the moving truck immediately, which adds to the urgency.

Funds will go toward temporary housing, food, gas, storage, and helping them secure stable housing. Because their situation is unstable and they do not have consistent access to housing or banking, funds will be received by me on their behalf and transferred directly to them.

I wish I could fix this myself, but I can’t—that’s why I’m asking for help. Any amount makes a difference and helps get them into a safe place to stay. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser means just as much. They just need a chance to land somewhere safe. Thank you for your support.
