Crowbarred and Crushed: Restore a Family Man Who Never Quits

Hi, my name is Linnea, and I’m a 20-year-old starting this GoFundMe for my dad—a man who has given everything for his family. He’s a father of four, and all of us kids are grown now, but growing up, he worked tirelessly to make sure we had what we needed. He’s always been a hands-on guy, putting us first even when it meant struggling to keep ends meet. He supported us through thick and thin, and now that we’re on our own, he’s still fighting to stay afloat after pouring so much into raising us.

Right now, my dad is facing a breaking point, and I want to do something exceptional to help him—without him knowing, because he’d never ask for help himself. He’s juggling two jobs: one as a sole proprietor of a small appliance repair business that’s been tough to grow, and another as a novice electrician to make ends meet. Life’s thrown him one hit after another—financial pressures from supporting us all those years, and in the past two years, three major car accidents while working, none his fault.

Last night, it got worse. Someone broke into his truck—the backbone of his work—crowbarring open the box cap and stealing every tool he uses to earn a living. They didn’t stop there; they wrecked his truck, denting and breaking the box cap and rear quarter panels. His home insurance won’t cover the tool loss, and his business insurance won’t either. Those tools and that truck aren’t just things—they’re how he keeps going, how he’s kept fighting after giving so much to us kids.

I’m worried about him. He’s been through too much, and I can see how heavy this is for him. My dad doesn’t quit, but he’s human, and I know he’s feeling knocked down. That’s why I’m asking for help to raise $5000 to replace his stolen tools, and give him a chance to catch his breath.
