Hello, my name is Patricia Michielini and I’m reaching out to you today with a heavy heart. My father, Jose Bezerra, was tragically hit by a motorcycle while trying to cross the street in Venezuela. The driver was a young, uninsured individual, leaving us with the added stress of mounting medical expenses.

As of now, my father is in the ICU, fighting for his life. He has suffered severe injuries, including:

* Three fractures in different parts of his leg

* Three broken ribs that punctured his lung, causing significant bleeding

* Internal bleeding that doctors couldn't initially locate, which required emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and repair his lung

* Several broken vertebrae

* Severe blood loss, requiring a blood transfusion

We are incredibly fortunate that he survived such severe trauma, but the road to recovery will be long and uncertain. As you may know, Venezuela is experiencing a financial crisis, and my father is receiving treatment at a private clinic, where medical procedures require payment in advance. Each surgery and emergency intervention comes with significant financial costs, and we are struggling to keep up with them.

Any donation—no matter how small—will go directly to his medical expenses, helping to keep him alive and give him a fighting chance at recovery. We are deeply grateful for any support, whether through donations or simply by sharing this campaign with others.

Hola, mi nombre es Patricia Michielini y me dirijo a ustedes con el corazón lleno de dolor. Mi padre, Jose Bezerra, fue atropellado por una motocicleta mientras intentaba cruzar la calle en Venezuela. El conductor era un joven sin seguro, lo que nos ha dejado con el estrés adicional de los crecientes gastos médicos.

Actualmente, mi padre se encuentra en terapia intensiva luchando por su vida. Ha sufrido graves heridas, entre ellas:

* Tres fracturas en diferentes partes de su pierna

* Tres costillas rotas que perforaron su pulmón, causando sangrado interno

* Sangrado interno cuyo origen no se pudo identificar inicialmente, lo que requirió cirugía de emergencia para detener el sangrado y reparar su pulmón

* Varios vertebras de su columna rotas

* Pérdida de sangre severa, que requiere una transfusión de sangre

Nos sentimos increíblemente afortunados de que haya sobrevivido um acidente tab fuerte, pero el camino hacia su recuperación será largo y lleno de incertidumbres. Como muchos ya sabrán, Venezuela está atravesando una grave crisis económica, y mi padre está recibiendo atención en una clínica privada, donde los procedimientos médicos requieren pago por adelantado. Cada cirugía y intervención de emergencia genera costos elevados, y estamos luchando por cubrirlos.
