My family has been facing a really difficult time due to health issues caused by mold in our home. Over the past six months, my kids have been in and out of the doctor’s office with stomach and head pain. I’ve had to visit the emergency room and see doctors for chest pain, burning eyes, hair loss, extreme fatigue, and body itching. My husband has also ended up in the emergency room with severe itching and a persistent cough. It’s been overwhelming and scary to see my family struggle with these symptoms, and we’ve realized that the only way to move forward is to leave our current home behind.

On top of the health challenges, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome two of our dogs because of the mold. Thankfully, they are in a good home living their best life, but it’s still a loss for our family as we’ve had them since they were puppies. This has made an already difficult situation even harder for all of us.

We are preparing to move to a new place, but we need to replace all of our beds and living room furniture to make sure our new home is safe and healthy for everyone. The costs of starting over are more than we can manage on our own, and we want to give our kids a fresh start where they can feel comfortable and well again.
