In those frantic moments, we did everything we could to ensure everyone's safety. My younger sibling tried to contain the fire with a water hose, my mother moved her car to prevent further damage, and I ran back inside to rescue my father, who is a recovering cardiac arrest and stroke victim from Hurricane Helene—a tragedy we had already endured as a family. But this time, the loss feels even greater.

Our family lost everything: cherished photos, valuable items, and most importantly, the home we grew up in for over 24 years. The sense of peace and comfort we once had is gone, replaced by uncertainty and heartbreak.
