Severe rains in northern Veracruz, Mexico caused the Pantepec River to overflow, flooding my family’s home completely. The water reached the second floor, destroying everything they owned.

In the house live my 92-year-old grandmother, my aunt and uncle, and my two cousins — five people who have lost all their belongings: furniture, appliances, clothes, medicines, and food supplies. Thankfully they are safe, but now face the hard task of starting again from nothing.

This fundraiser aims to help them rebuild — to provide basic essentials like a safe place to sleep, clean clothes, food, and the items they need to restore their home and dignity.
