I’m a 25 year woman currently living with her parents. I want to have a house of my own, but with the current housing market, it’s very difficult for someone like me to afford my own property - especially since I’ve been unemployed for a few months after the store I was working at closed. Luckily, my family and I live on an acre of land in North Carolina, a state that allows you to install a mobile home on your property. So, my goal is to purchase an inexpensive mobile home to place in our yard and connect to our house’s plumbing and electrical. This way, I can have my own space while still staying close to my family and avoiding the housing market. Once I find a job, I’ll use the money I earn to pay my portion of the utility bills and save up for my own property.

I know this money most likely won’t cover the full cost of a project like this, but it will help out a ton. It feels strange asking people for help this way, but if that’s what it takes, then so be it. You’ll be supporting an artist stand up on her own two feet.
