Help my family of 7 Afghan refugees rebuild
Hi Gofundme supporters,
I sincerely hope that you will consider supporting the 7 members of our family who were recently evacuated by American forces from Kabul after spending almost 5 days in the airport with 2 babies. They had to leave their homes with only one handbag each, leaving behind all of their possessions and the only world they have ever known. Sadly, this is not the first time that the war in Afghanistan has made them refugees. They had to spend most of the 90s as refugees in Pakistan, returning to Afghanistan when America freed Afghanistan from Taliban rule the first time. However, this is the first time they had to leave everything behind and are unlikely to be able to go home ever again.
Luckily, they are now in the states and need assistance to help build a life here as they are starting from zero. Your financial support and assistance will tremendously impact their life and ability to succeed.
I know that is already so grateful that America has helped them escape Taliban rule.
My family had to leave Afghanistan because of my family's long standing support for
- My Father worked for the past 2 Afghan administrations as a government official and my cousin works for the customs department, source of revenue where workers have already ben killed by Taliban.
- My cousin served in the American Army and did 2 tours in Afghanistan
- My aunt served as an interpreter for the US army
- My brother in law in the photo above is a journalist working for Afghanistan's most prolific and popular news organization
