Help my family living in Gaza

My name is Bushra and I am a British Palestinian, raising funds to help my Aunt, Uncle and cousins in Gaza.

As a result of the war their home and all their possessions have been destroyed and they have been forced to live in a tent on the sands of Rafah. Life has never been easy in Gaza but now it is just unbearable, with nowhere safe to stay and no food or water to sustain them.

They have already lost so much and we can't bear the thought of them losing even more. They want to join our wider family in Jordan, so they can have the chance at truly living life. The opportunity to live in peace, have careers, build houses and watch their children thrive.

In order for this hope to become a reality and for them to leave Gaza via the border with Egypt they need $90,000. They have no way to raise the money needed to leave and we cannot do it on our own, instead we need to rely on the generosity and humanity of others.

Malak our cousin said "We are normal people with hopes, dreams and aspirations like everyone else, we just happen to have been born in Gaza. I have a job waiting for me in Jordan, my dream job doing app development, I should have travelled but the war came. I hope I can pursue this dream and help provide for my family. We are grateful for any help we receive in achieving our dreams and hope that we can be seen as more than numbers on the news and statistics of war."

In the event of a permanent ceasefire being brokered and the occupation ending funds may be used to rebuild the family home.

لقد خسروا الكثير بالفعل ولا يمكننا تحمل فكرة خسارة المزيد. إنهم يريدون الانضمام إلى عائلتنا الأوسع في الأردن، حتى تتاح لهم الفرصة لعيش حياة حقيقية. فرصة العيش في سلام والحصول على وظائف وبناء المنازل ومشاهدة أطفالهم يزدهرون.

ولكي يصبح هذا الأمل حقيقة ويتمكنوا من مغادرة غزة عبر الحدود مع مصر، فهم بحاجة إلى 90 ألف دولار. ليس لديهم وسيلة لجمع الأموال اللازمة للمغادرة، ولا يمكننا أن نفعل ذلك بمفردنا، وبدلاً من ذلك نحتاج إلى الاعتماد على كرم الآخرين وإنسانيتهم.
