Help My Family Keep Our Home

My name is Alanaya, and I’m a single parent to six wonderful kids who mean the world to me. We’re facing the hardest moment of our lives—our home is on the line, and I’m fighting every day to keep my family together and safe.

I got divorced at the beginning of Covid after being a stay-at-home mom and was left with no home or income. After Covid, I knew I needed a way to support my children so I made the difficult decision to go back to school and balance that with work and family. It’s been exhausting and worth it. My oldest has stepped up to help, but it’s not enough or fair to put that weight on her shoulders. We’ve had no outside support through this, and I’ve been doing everything I can to provide for my children.

I just finished massage therapy school, a dream I’ve worked so hard to achieve, but I had to wait three months for my graduation and license. I was driving for Uber to make ends meet, but my account was hacked and shut down, leaving us without income. Now, we need help to cover our rent, car payment, and utilities for June, July, and August. We are on the verge of losing everything, right as I’m about to cross the finish line and start a new chapter for my family.

I’ve poured my heart into building a business and additionally have a job offer ready to supplement my income, but these bills can’t wait. I am determined to give my kids the security and future they deserve and allow them to focus on getting ready to start school rather than uprooting and having no home.
