In late February, I was diagnosed with epilepsy, which changed everything for my family and me. For over ten years, I worked as a driver for Uber and Lyft, building relationships with personal customers who would reach out to me directly for rides. After my diagnosis, I could no longer continue working, and it has been a difficult adjustment for all of us. My wife, two kids, and I were evicted at the end of May from the property we had called home for more than a decade. Now, we are staying in a hotel, but our funds are running out quickly, and we are facing the real possibility of having nowhere to go.
