I am a heart and kidney transplant recipient, and in July 2025, I underwent a life-saving surgery. During my hospital stay, I died five times and had to learn how to walk all over again. After months of rehab, I finally returned home in November, hoping to recover and rebuild my life with my family. But in January 2026, we faced a new crisis: our home became uninhabitable. Our landlord and property management company abandoned their responsibility to provide us with a safe place to live while repairs were needed. We have no hot water, no heat, and our septic system is broken in the dead of winter. To make matters worse, they are trying to illegally evict us, even though the only income in our household is my wife's, and I am unable to work while waiting for disability benefits. All of our funds are gone, and we are struggling to survive. As tenants, we have always paid rent and kept the property clean, but now we are left in a dangerous situation with nowhere to turn. I am asking for help to get my family through this most critical time. If you can't give financially, please say a prayer for us that we will make it through this harsh winter. We continue to pray that no family or disabled person has to suffer this near-death experience. If God moves you, please help another victimized family make it through the winter. All we ask is a home that we can call our own, where our children can thrive and become essential assets to society. We pray for everyone to have a habitable house to live in, and for love, truth, peace, freedom, and justice for those who do unlawful and dangerous things to the less fortunate.
