My name is Ciara, and I’m reaching out because my children and I are facing a situation that’s become impossible to manage alone. For the past two months, our apartment has had no heat and no hot water, which recently caused the pipes to bust. The conditions have gotten so bad that Code Enforcement is now planning to condemn our home. It’s been incredibly hard trying to keep my kids safe and comfortable in a place that’s no longer livable, and every day feels more uncertain.

I’ve always been a prideful person and never the type to ask for help, but my children are my main concern. We urgently need to move to a safe, stable home, but I simply don’t have the resources saved up to make that happen. Doing everything on my own has made it impossible to set anything aside, and now we’re at a point where we need help to get through this.

The funds raised will go directly toward moving expenses, the deposit for a new place, and replacing some of our belongings that were damaged by water.
