For the past ten years, my family and I have called our apartment home. About a year ago, my father lost his main source of income, which pushed us into debt. Despite the financial strain, we managed to keep going, and things started to look up. We even welcomed a kitten into our lives as a sign of hope. I was working, but over the next few months, my hours were cut, making it difficult to provide for my family. I decided to leave my job and pursue a new career, hoping for a fresh start.

Just days after making this change, our landlord told us we need to leave by the end of July. Since then, I've been doing everything I can to help my family—packing, selling items, and searching for work. My father has been working hard to gather what money he can, but we're still struggling to secure a new place. The finances are the only thing stopping us from moving forward, and it's been a great hit to my pride to ask for help.
