My name is Kentrell, and I am reaching out on behalf of my family—my wife Lindsey, our six boys (Hezekiah, Zachariah, Joel, King, Isaiah, and Malachi), our daughter Naomi, and our eighth child on the way. We are a young married couple who love our children deeply and are doing everything we can to care for them, but we have fallen on hard times and need help to get back on our feet.
A couple of years ago, we were living in a 3-bedroom apartment at Sunnyview Apartments in Del City, OKC. We received rent assistance after COVID, which helped us stay afloat. However, when the property was sold to a new owner, everything changed. The new owner demanded a large payment within a week or we would be evicted. Despite our efforts to fight this in court and reach out to the previous owners, we lost our home. We moved in with my mother-in-law and tried to save, but after our car broke down and she had to move, we found ourselves living in a hotel, struggling to make day-to-day payments and keep our family together.
We have tried to find shelter, but our family is so large that we are often turned away. Without reliable transportation, it is extremely hard to move around the city, especially in the cold. We are doing everything we can to provide for our children, but we need help. We are looking for support to secure permanent housing, a vehicle, and essentials like clothes, shoes, diapers, and other items for our children. We want to be in a stable home soon so we can continue to thrive as a family. We are humbly asking for help from anyone who is able to support us during this difficult time.
