Help My Family Escape Gaza and Rebuild Our Lives

(English – Updated with education and Parkinson’s)

“We are a family from Gaza, enduring a tragedy beyond human comprehension for more than 630 days of relentless war that has taken away everything we once had. Our city was completely destroyed, we lost our home and all that we had built. Today, we are ten people crammed into a fragile tent that cannot protect us from the cold of winter or the unbearable summer heat.

My widowed sister lives with us, her heart heavy with grief and five orphaned children who lost their father in the recent bombings. Every day, her children ask: “When will we go back to our home?” but there is no answer—only her silent tears.

Our elderly father suffers from Parkinson’s disease after a bombing destroyed part of our house. His health deteriorates day by day, with no hospitals or medicine available to ease his suffering. Food is scarce, clean water is a daily struggle, and life has become harsher than any human can endure.

Even education—the only hope our children had for a better future—has been lost for the past two and a half years. There are no schools, no educational centers, and no universities. Our children and my sister’s children have been deprived of their basic right to learn, and my brothers, who were so close to graduating from university, have seen their dreams destroyed along with everything else.

We fled Rafah in search of safety in Khan Younis, but we found the same hell in another place. Our only dream now is to leave Gaza and rebuild a dignified life, but the cost of travel is far beyond our means.

We appeal to every free soul and every compassionate heart: please help us save an entire family before it is too late. Your support could be the bridge that takes us to safety and life.”

**Hunger and Suffering in Gaza: A Humanitarian Cry Warning of Catastrophe** I write these words with indescribable pain in my heart—pain that everyone living in Gaza witnesses every day, every hour, every minute. Hunger here is not just a fleeting feeling; it is a bitter reality that grinds bones and erodes dignity. Prices are soaring to unimaginable levels, while the ability to afford even the basics is slowly vanishing. ### **Soaring Prices: A Merciless Market** Gaza’s market has become an arena of daily suffering. A bag of flour costs a fortune, a bottle of oil is a distant dream. Meat? It has become a luxury no one dares to think about. Even bread, that simple symbol of survival, has turned into a daily struggle. Prices are doubling, yet wages are evaporating like a mirage. Families are forced to choose between buying medicine or food, between keeping their children warm or filling their stomachs. ### **Hunger: The Silent Enemy** Children here no longer cry from hunger… because they are tired of crying. Mothers hide portions of food to feed their children, then go to sleep on empty stomachs. Words like "a full meal" or "satiety" have become relics of the past. Diseases are spreading due to malnutrition, and hospitals are unable to cope with the disaster due to the blockade and shortages in medicine.
