Hi, my name is Mary and I’m setting up this GoFundMe account to raise funds to help my daughter, Julie, and her family. They are currently moving from campsite to campsite every week as they no longer have a permanent home. With a tent, they can only stay at each campsite for one week at a time. My goal is to help them raise enough money to buy a used RV to shelter them through the winter. With an RV, they will be able to stay at each campsite for three weeks at a time and have adequate shelter to keep them warm through the winter. After a long illness, her husband, Dan, is now working hard to provide for the family. Since they live in northwest Washington and I live in Florida, this is the best way that I can help them. Any and every contribution will be greatly appreciated.

This is Julie’s statement regarding this request:

In 2015, just before the birth of our daughter, Daniel had an accident at work that left him with a Traumatic Brain Injury, and he was unable to hold steady work for seven years. We were largely dependent on government assistance for food and shelter. While we were grateful for our government subsidized apartment, it was full of black mold and our family's health declined over the years.

In June of 2023 we had to leave our apartment and decided that moving into a tent was our best option at the time. Our heavenly Father has seen fit to give us a place to live and meet others who are seeking refuge from ever increasing expenses. While we have a place to be, we lack adequate shelter to weather the wind, rain, and snow of the Pacific Northwest winter. We need funds to purchase a used RV so that our family can be warm and safe during the winter.

While in the apartment, we came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and a dream was planted in our hearts and minds to minister to others who are downtrodden.

Ideally, this RV would be able to pull a trailer that would house our portable kitchen to minister to others. This would provide us with a mobile food kitchen that would also offer prayer, music, and therapeutic touch. This would use our talents of cooking, musicianship, massage therapy training and our love of the Lord.
