Help my dad with his financial burdens

UPDATE - 09/29/2025

My dad needs 2,500 by Saturday 10/04/2025 to stop the foreclosure process from happening to him and his home. I'm praying so hard for miracle for him because he does not deserve to go through this. Things have gotten harder for him within the past few months. He had a recent hospital stay with a bone infection - and his overtime at his job was recently completely cut. Making him make way less than normal. Which made it to where his house payment got behind for the first time in his life. He's having a really hard time and I want to be able to at least take a bit of the load off of him and take away the stress of all of this. He has worked so hard his whole life and he doesn't deserve any of this. I also want to add his fridge recently went out, a family friend gave him one to get by and yesterday the door fell completely off. It's like one thing after another just keeps happening to him and not fair one bit. So to be able to help him replace that would be a dream for me as well.

Hi everyone, my name is Brianna James. I’m making this go fund me for my dad, Gary James. If you know my dad you know he would give someone the shirt off his back. He’s had a hard life but has always tried to make the best of it no matter what. He was diagnosed with type two diabetes a few years back and because of the diabetes it has caused other issues for him.

For about two years now he’s been dealing with his hands giving out on him, he can no longer make a fist with his hands, and some of his fingers are beginning to stiffen to where he can’t move them at all. A few years back he was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis then about a year ago he was diagnosed with carpal tunnel. He spoke to the specialist last year and they wanna do surgery on him but his A1C is 13.5 which is not good at all. Before they will perform surgery they want his sugar down. When he eventually does have the surgery he’s gonna have to be out of work for 6 weeks and he doesn’t get paid for sick leave. He works Monday through Friday driving a truck and unloading heavy parts all day long.

Because of his hands he can hardly do simple things most people don’t even think about, such as, buttoning his pants in the morning, cleaning, shaving his face, the most meticulous things are getting to be extremely hard for him. So you can only begin to imagine how hard it is for him to work in those conditions. Not only is he dealing with his health problems, he has been having problems with his septic system. The drain lines need to be replaced. The toilets don’t flush the greatest and in order to take a shower he has to pump the tub out. Along with that, his air conditioner gave out last year. Hurricane sally messed up his roof, although it is fixed now, & insurance helped with some, it’s still not fully paid off. It’s like one thing after another just keeps happening and it breaks my heart for him because it’s just not fair.

He has a lot on his plate and lives alone. He doesn’t have a huge support system. His paychecks go straight to bills, doctors copays, all of his medicine, and he’s left with nothing. With his health being the way it is, it’s not good for him to be living the way he is. It would help him a ton to be on disability but most of you know in order to get on disability you can’t have a steady income and without his income he will lose everything. He is unable to get a loan because of his credit and debt. He is barely getting by right now and he is hanging by a thread. I know it’s a hard time for everyone right now but if you can just send a dollar anything helps. If you can’t, please say a prayer for him.
