My dad just can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to vehicles. Time and time again, he works hard, saves up every dollar he can, and puts his hope into something he believes will finally give him stability—only to have it fall apart in the worst way possible. Another major breakdown. Another unexpected expense. Another setback that pulls him deeper into stress and uncertainty. Each time it happens, it’s not just about a car—it’s about what that car represents: independence, security, and a sense of relief that he can finally breathe for a little while. Instead, he’s forced into a cycle of constant worry. When the car fails, he’s left with no choice but to take expensive Uber rides just to get where he needs to go, watching money disappear with nothing lasting to show for it. There’s no sense of progress, no feeling of getting ahead—just the weight of starting over again.

I would greatly appreciate it if we could all get him a nice brand new or previously owned vehicle. I know there are so many people out there going through similar struggles, and that’s what makes this even harder. But this is my dad—my best friend, my role model, and one of the strongest people I know. Hearing him on the phone last night, completely defeated, broke my heart in a way I can’t fully put into words. It’s not like him to sound that way. He’s always the one who pushes through, who figures things out, who keeps going no matter what. But this… this is wearing him down. I’m starting this fundraiser because I want to help lift even a small part of this burden off his shoulders. I want to help him have reliable transportation that he doesn’t have to constantly worry about—something that gives him stability instead of stress and hope instead of frustration.
