This is Bill, he is my dad. He’s currently homeless and living in a tent. I haven’t seen him in years. I saw him today on the side of the road, disheveled and dirty. He was living in a homeless shelter for a while and apparently saving money to live somewhere better; he was on the right track. His money, phone, and glucose monitor got stolen by someone in the shelter, and as a result, they got into a heated argument. One thing led to another, and they both got kicked out, and they’re back on the streets again. I miss my dad, I want to help him get his life together but I’m in school and working as an apprentice at a local union so I’m not getting paid nearly enough to help him financially.

My goal is to get him a decent phone and glucose monitor ASAP without missing my rent. The end goal is getting him an apartment and changing his life around.
