Hello everyone, my name is Rowan. Around ten months ago, due to unforeseen financial circumstances, my father Clint lost his home to foreclosure. Since then, he has not had a stable place to live and has struggled to get back on his feet. In July, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a form of bone cancer. Unable to afford medical care, he rarely sought treatment—until January of this year, when multiple falls and eventually a coma led to an emergency admission at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. After being transferred to Emory Healthcare in Midtown Atlanta, he was discharged to A Lovely Place Care Home, a nursing facility also in Atlanta. With $0 to his name and a scheduled discharge date of May 31st, homelessness is becoming a very real possibility. Please help save my dad from living on the streets.
