Help My Dad and Stepmom Find a Safe Home

It's difficult to write this and even harder to ask for help, but I am trying to get my dad and stepmom out of incredibly poor and uninhabitable living conditions.

In 2023, my dad had to quit working due to his disability and severe blindness. Becoming legally blind has sent him through massive bouts of depression and hopelessness. Because of this, severely low SS income, and other health issues, his living conditions have slowly deteriorated. He spends his days lying in bed and just trying to sleep life away.

Their RV is derelict and essentially in ruins. The 30ft RV is in the middle of nowhere, Labelle, in a tractor-trailer lot. It has holes in the roof and floor, and the air conditioning rarely works. The holes have also led to bug and rodent problems. No human being should live in these conditions, especially someone who is blind. Someone who was such a wonderful father to me, when life was kinder.

The only help that Human and Veteran Services can offer them is to remove them from the "home" and place them in a homeless shelter, which they refused because of their two German shepherds. I also attempted to utilize their home repair program, but they couldn't help because the RV is not on owned land.

I have tried to get assistance through other government programs, but most funding has been cut, and waiting lists/applications are closed. They're unable to live with me because their two German Shepherds don't get along with my dogs, but they are his comfort in blindness, and he can't part with them. It is also difficult to live with my dad because of his mental illness and other tendencies.

I have explored many options to help them, but I'm stuck and don't know how to help anymore. I feel the most reasonable option is for me to buy them an affordable home or land, where they can safely retire. This fund would help gather a down payment so I can make that happen for them or find other stable housing.
