Hello, my name is DeeDee and I'm fundraising for my very close cousins to help save their home. Unfortunately my aunt passed away in 2017 having left her daughters to fight for their home that they have lived in for many years. My Aunt did not leave a will nor did she add any of the girls to the deed or title of the house therefore, the house has been in probate for the past four years. They have been fighting to keep their home by having to pay behind mortgage payments and some taxes owed to the Franchise Tax Board. As they've been going through probate, they had to file my aunt's taxes which led to finding out that my aunt owed much more in taxes than originally thought which has put them in such a hardship trying to keep afloat and also trying to keep the house. My cousins first letter from the IRS said they only owed $2600. Apparently, according to someone they spoke to at the IRS, they process the returns every 30-40 days, as of today, they owe close to $9000. Unless the probate attorney is able to get an extension, they will have to come up with the $9000 plus, by January 2022. They have been doing what they can to pay off some debt that was left and have paid FTB owed taxes but have now been dealt with this last blow. One of my cousins is severely disabled and it would be a hardship if they lost their home and had to find a new place to live that is affordable and adequate for my cousin's care. Please if you find it in your heart to help my cousins keep their home, we would all appreciate it. And if you're not able to help monetarily, please pray for them in all circumstances.
