Dear friends,
It is with great sadness and disbelief that I share the news of sudden and very unexpected demise of my brother-in-law (Anwar, aged 45) due to COVID-19 complications during second wave in India
Couple of weeks ago, my brother-in-law fainted suddenly and was rushed to hospital, where the hospital authorities confirmed severe pneumonia caused by COVID-19. Our entire family was not aware about this condition till that point and was shocked beyond belief. Doctor informed it might be a case of Happy Hypoxia. He was on ventilator for almost 8 days and came to consciousness which created some hope but after couple of days, he succumbed to COVID-19. We are in deep shock for what has happened and we are still trying to cope up with the grief.
COVID attacked entire family including my sister. Fortunately, my sister was able to get the treatment on time and we were able to save her. My brother-in-law was a Teacher by profession and he was the sole breadwinner for his family and with his sudden demise we are hoping that my sister might get compassionate appointment which will be a sigh of relief to rebuild their day to day lives. My sister is now as a single parent who should carry the financial responsibilities for her kids wellbeing after being a stay-at-home mother all these years. She needs all the support we can provide during this time of grief, to carve out a new way of life without her husband.
My brother-in-law was survived by his elderly parents, a loving wife and two kids aged 5 and 3. To him, family was of utmost importance especially his children who were born after 8 years of marriage. As you can imagine, entire family is devastated by the sudden demise of a sincere son, affectionate husband and a responsible father. Our heart goes out to two kids, who are too young to understand the reality.
I could never imagine my childhood without my father and the life turned out be really unfair for my nephews as they have to grow up without their father. Nevertheless, I strongly believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The loss for family cannot be replaced, but we are hoping to do our bit to make things easy in whichever way possible. The funds will help tremendously to help secure children future, including immediate needs, future education expenses, while they try to heal and rebuild their lives without my brother-in-law.
More than financial contributions we need your prayers to face this tough times and we thank you for any help you may do. Every little bit helps in these grim times. Also please do share this GoFundMe page with your friends and family.
Sincerely,
Shaikshavali Mohammed
