Hello, my name is Rudina, I’m 43 years old, a wife and a mother of two daughters. I live and work in Tirana, Albania. The past few years have been the most difficult of my life emotionally, spiritually, and financially.

In 2021, I lost my mother and a year later, in 2022, I lost my sister at a very young age. Both passed away due to a severe illness. These losses have left deep emotional scars that I still carry every day.

Now, I’m facing another painful challenge my 39-year-old brother Besmir is battling mental health issues. He has been diagnosed with depression and impulse control disorder. He has attempted to take his own life, and during his darkest episodes, he loses control, becomes destructive, and creates a constant sense of fear and instability around him.

One of the biggest problems is that he can’t hold a job he starts a job for 1-2 weeks and quits, repeating this cycle endlessly.

My husband and I decided to bring him to Tirana to support him more closely and give our father some peace. For the past two years, my brother has been living in a small rented apartment, and we’ve covered all his expenses ourselves. We’ve also encouraged him to stay connected with a church community and maintain medical care.

While this arrangement has helped bring some stability, it has placed an overwhelming burden on me. I’ve increased my working hours to the maximum just to keep everything afloat. But emotionally, mentally, and physically I’m exhausted. I live in constant anxiety and fear about the future.

According to his doctor, my brother needs to gradually become more financially independent but this transition needs time and continued support and I can no longer carry it alone.

That’s why I’m asking for your help.

I’m trying to raise funds to cover his rent for the next 6-7 months, giving him time to stabilize and take responsibility and giving me a moment to breathe, rebuild my strength, and care for my family.
