My name is Avery, and I’m fundraising to help make my little brother’s dream come true.

My brother is 20 years old and severely autistic. For the past seven years, he’s been asking for the Yo Gabba Gabba Kidrobot figures — a rare collector’s set that has become his biggest wish. These toys are more than just figures to him — they’re a deep source of comfort, joy, and stability in a world that often feels overwhelming.

A year ago, after enduring a lot of trauma at home, my brother walked over 50 miles just to find me. I was 21 at the time, and I suddenly became his full-time caregiver. Since then, we’ve been through a lot together — including experiencing homelessness twice in one year — but we’ve finally found a safe and stable place to live.

Despite all of the challenges, my brother’s love for these Yo Gabba Gabba figures has never wavered. He talks about them every single day — they’ve become a symbol of happiness and hope for him. I’ve tried for years to find them at an affordable price, even reaching out directly to collectors, but haven’t had any luck.

Now, I’m turning to our community in hopes of raising the full amount — $2,500 — so I can finally surprise him with the full set for his birthday.
