Hey, my name is Damus and I'm raising funds for my Aunt Linda. She's recently lost her job and is struggling to pay rent. I've been living with her since February to help her recover from a surgery in her shoulder. That same surgery screwed her over since my state is a "Right to Work" state, meaning she was laid off for her inability to work. Linda's been looking for a job, but she's restricted due to the fact that she doesn't have a car. She's currently very behind on rent, and is under threat of eviction from the landlord. While he hasn't given her a deadline to pay, that alone has been enough to scare her to take some kind of action.

Linda's already sold most of her assets and we barely have enough to live off of. Social security disability leave is barely enough for one person, let alone two. And I myself have been struggling to find a job for years. My aunt means the world to me and has supported me when I don't have many others family members to turn to. She's like a mother to me, so I want to do what I can to help her like she has with me. So please, even if it's as little as $5, it would go a long way and help someone who truly needs support.
