Help Our Mum Rebuild Her Life After Losing Her Leg to Cancer

Hi everyone,

We’re Jess and Beth, and we’re fundraising for our amazing mum, Samantha. She is the kindest, strongest person we know — but the past year has been the hardest of her life.

Mum began suffering from severe pain in her knee and leg that gradually became debilitating. Just a week ago, she was given the devastating news that she has cancer. Within days, she needed major surgery, which resulted in the amputation of her left leg above the knee.

In the space of a week, her whole world has changed. Mum now faces the physical and emotional challenge of adjusting to life with one leg — learning to walk again, adapting to her new reality, and having to rely on others after a lifetime of independence.

Through it all, she has remained unbelievably positive and brave. Even in the toughest moments, she’s still thinking of everyone else, showing the same kindness and strength that make her who she is. Her journey ahead will be long and full of challenges, but she’s determined to face it with courage and hope.
