Our family is reaching out for help after our mum suffered a heartbreaking loss.

Recently, her pride and joy — a Holden WL Caprice — was destroyed in a sudden roadside fire, 1,000km away from home. Sadly, the car was uninsured, leaving Mum with no way to replace it.

This wasn’t just any car. It carried precious memories of her late daughter and was a symbol of family to all of us. Mum’s 7 grandchildren adored it and knew how much it meant to their Nan. Now, without a car, she’s struggling to get around, and we’ve been juggling our own vehicles to try and keep her mobile.

On the night of the fire, as we stood in shock, even the local police showed kindness — bringing us pizza to get through the night. It was a small gesture that reminded us of the power of community in difficult times.

We’re hoping that same community spirit can help our Mum now. Any donation, big or small, will go towards replacing her car and giving her back her independence, freedom, and a little piece of happiness.
