Hello,

My name is MSM Andi. I am a human trafficking survivor, as well as an advocate raising awareness about another type of human trafficking that not many people know about. Thank you all so much for engaging with this process of spreading awareness, self advocacy, and advocacy for my children.

Trigger warning: During the time I was human trafficked, they sold the children that I conceived into the buying and selling of human beings among other atrocities. The fact that my children were taken from me by the same people who were torturing me keeps me up at night, for I know that they too are being tortured, wherever they are. Now I make videos about these painful events in order to raise awareness and hopefully help my children and others like myself, as well as to heal.

I am an intersex person, living with the reality that most persons like myself don't live to see tomorrow.

I am making this GoFundMe in order to gain resources in order to be able to actualize the book series I have been working on for years titled "For Them". Everything I am doing is for my children and to sustain myself through this journey that is life as someone who lives on the margin. There are several things I need for myself to do what I need to do for them. I live with several debilitating medical conditions but one above all else needs immediate attention The need for this surgery is in my way of coherence in my videos, which you can find on TikTok @meridianleftright

This medical condition is called diastasis recti, and insurance companies currently have this condition classified as a cosmetic condition. In my instance at least, due to the severity of the condition, it is not cosmetic. The muscles down the front of my stomach are ripped, and the gap is widening. This causes me a great deal of discomfort, and I know that in fixing it I would have a better quality of life. This would allow me to do more to help my children and others.

The ultimate goal is to become a successful author in order to open up a long term mental and physical health rehabilitation center for persons who have survived human trafficking.
