If your kids go to Emerson or you live in Temescal, chances are you’ve met Ms. Yvonne, who not only keeps our kids safe, but always has a nice word and a smile for all who walk or drive past. She’s been a steady pillar in our community, someone you can always count on to show up and inject some grace and sweetness into your hectic morning. What a gift. She’s taken care of all of us in ways small and big, and now we want to take care of her.

Our beloved Ms. Yvonne fell and injured herself during winter break and has been off work and without an income ever since. She is currently in a rehabilitation facility, where she is expected to remain for 6-8 weeks. Emerson PTA members have been doing what they can to connect Ms. Yvonne with needed medical and social services.

The generous Emerson community has already raised $2,500 for Ms. Yvonne so that she can focus on her recovery instead of worrying about paying her rent and bills. Through this GoFundMe, we are seeking to raise an additional $2,500 so that Ms. Yvonne can have her needs met during this difficult time.
