Ms. M is a caring, devoted mother and a cherished member of the Bancroft school community. Ten years ago, she came to the United States from Guatemala seeking safety and a better future for her children

Today, she faces an unimaginable challenge. Because her former attorney failed to properly file her immigration paperwork, Ms. M now has a removal hearing scheduled for November. Her new attorney is working urgently to fix these errors and present her case, but the legal fees must be paid quickly in order to move forward.

Ms. M has been unable to work while this issue is being resolved, leaving her without income to cover the costs of her defense. She needs our help and she needs it soon.

Those who know Ms. M describe her as someone who never hesitates to lend a hand. She has cared for other parents’ children as if they were her own, volunteered her time, and been a steady source of kindness in our community. Now, it’s our turn to show that same compassion and support.
