My name is Steve Abercrombie, and I am assisting Ms. M in purchasing a car. She is a single mother of eight children. Four of them are her nieces and nephews. Two of the children require special needs support. Ms. M was married with four children. Her husband began abusing her and her older, fourteen-year-old son. He is no longer allowed to have contact with her or her children. Ms. M’s sister lived in another state with her husband and five children. Sadly, her sister and her husband neglected and abused their children, which resulted in the death of their one-year-old daughter. Ms. M drove to the other state and took custody of her nieces and nephews. Ms. M purchased a 2005 Dodge Caravan for $3,500. The seller hid some mechanical issues, and the vehicle is no longer functioning. It would cost more to repair than it is worth. We are raising funds to help purchase a ten-seat passenger van. This will allow Ms. M to transport her children to school and medical appointments.
