Help Mrs. Berrios and Kids Through Hard Times

Dear Community,
My name is Jesus, and I am a community organizer in Santa Clara County.
On the morning of Wednesday, June 4th, Mr. Berrios was arrested by ICE during what was supposed to be a routine immigration check-in in San Jose, California. These check-ins had become a regular part of his life due to his pending immigration case, and he never expected anything different. He typically just signed a document and walked out—so as usual, he brought his wife and children along.
That morning, I happened to be at the same location to accompany another community member for their own check-in. While there, I noticed Mrs. Berrios sobbing uncontrollably. Concerned, I approached her to ask if she needed help. She told me that her husband had just been taken by ICE.
ICE agents had arrested Mr. Berrios, led him out through a back door, and placed him in a waiting van. He is now being held in an ICE detention center.
I immediately gathered his information and contacted our network of attorneys. Thanks to their swift response, Mr. Berrios was able to receive a legal consultation that same day.
Mr. Berrios was the only provider for his family. His wife, Mrs. Berrios, does not currently have a phone, and we are working to find the best way to help them stay connected. With Mr. Berrios in detention, his family has been left with limited resources and no stable income.
All funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward rent, utility bills, and other daily necessities to support Mrs. Berrios and her children during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you all so much for your compassion and support.
