Help Mrs Koja & the Oworo Women to get a new home

HELP MRS KOJA AND THE OWORO WOMEN TO GET A NEW HOME.

On Monday the 24th of July 2023, Policemen and Lagos State Task Force officers came to Idi-Araba part of Oworonshoki to demolish the homes of residents in the community without prior notice, compensation or alternative shelters.

Right now over 2000 families have been displaced in Oworonshoki and don’t have anywhere to stay, including Mrs Koja, who is a popular figure in the community and an avid supporter of the dance community in Oworonshoki.

Mrs Koja lives with her three grandchildren who she has raised for the past 16 years in the house that she built in the community. Today her house was demolished making her and her family homeless.

As we write this we are in the middle of Nigeria’s rainy season when torrential downpours are frequent. We urgently need support to find her and the other women affected accommodation.
