Help Move Doc Marty!
My name is Valerie Johnson and I have worked for Doc Marty for over 5 years now as his Office Manager. I love my job and plan on staying for as long as Doc lets me.
Over the years I've seen Doc help countless people better themselves and their lives not only because he's a therapist, but because he loves doing it. He bends over backwards for others and works extremely long days while barely taking any time for himself.
Unfortunately that brings us to the current situation. He has put himself on the back burner long enough and needs to better his own situation.
Over the past year and a half he has undergone 3 major surgeries and been flooded out twice. The combined result of the time off from work needed from the surgeries to heal and not being able to get to work due to the flooding created a severe money strain. On top of that he’s paid huge amounts of money to replace vehicles and belongings lost to the floods that were not reimbursed by insurance or FEMA. His finances have taken a tremendous hit.
He has put his home on the market and is trying to move. He has lived in the home he built and loved for 15 years. Packing up and searching for a new house is overwhelming and very tasking.
Having little funds to cover moving costs and being able to settle into the new place is creating a hard strain for him. His children and friends are helping to pack up and prepare for the move as best as they can.
I’m hoping to raise $5,000 to cover the costs for remaining home repairs and the moving company. The timing begins this weekend when Doc’s house goes on the market. Because the home is so attractive, he is hoping it sells within the next four weeks.
He has located an available house in New Caney, but the purchase has to be based on selling the current house. I would love to receive any donations within the next 30 days.
My goal of this funding request is to encourage people in the community to understand how valuable Doc has been to our friends and families for more than 30 years. He has been “paying it forward” for so long, it would be a wonderful gesture for people to return that heart-felt movement back in his direction when he now needs it the most.
Thank you for your generous support and love. Appricate you taking the time to read my request. I am grateful and honored for whatever you can give.
