No parent ever imagines planning a funeral for their child. Yet every year, more families in Columbus face the unimaginable reality of losing a son or daughter to violence.

We are Mothers of Murdered Columbus Children (MOMCC)—an organization founded by mothers who have lived this nightmare. We understand the phone call, the hospital, the crime scene, the courtroom, the empty chair, and the lifelong grief that follows. Rather than allowing our pain to consume us, we chose to transform it into purpose by ensuring no family walks this journey alone.

Today, MOMCC stands with grieving families during the darkest days of their lives. We provide compassionate support, connect families with critical resources, advocate for victims, mentor youth, partner with law enforcement and community organizations, and work every day to prevent the next family from experiencing the heartbreak we know so well.

But we cannot do this work alone.
