Dear Supporters,
I would like to provide a clear update on this campaign and share more about the difficult reality that Motaz Alostath and his family are still facing in Gaza.
My name is Ahmad Aledawi, and I am the organizer of this campaign. I know Motaz personally through social media and direct communication. After witnessing the severe hardship his family is enduring due to the war, I decided to start this fundraiser to help them survive. We are in regular contact, and I personally support him as well.
All your generous donations to support this family will be transferred directly to Motaz in my name via PayPal, to help his family and keep them standing despite the extremely difficult conditions they are going through.
Motaz and his family are still displaced, living in extremely harsh conditions. They face constant cold and rain, shortages of clean water, limited food, and lack of medicines. Their survival depends entirely on external support. Every donation helps provide essential items such as food, clean water, medicine, baby formula, and also helps Motaz begin rebuilding a small source of income after losing his job and home.
Your support has already made a huge difference, but they still need our help. Please consider continuing your support or sharing this campaign with others. Together, we can help this family survive and start rebuilding their lives.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, generosity, and trust.
Warm regards,
Ahmad
I am Motaz… and this is the dream I lost:
I graduated as an architect in 2015, ranking first in my class. I started my career as a university teaching assistant for two years before becoming a lecturer at the University College of Applied Sciences in 2017. But when the war came in 2023, I lost my job as the college was completely destroyed.
Alongside teaching, I worked in several architectural firms until I decided to start my own business in 2018. I established my own architecture office and the “Aaj Furniture & Interior Design” workshop, where I delivered high-quality designs. Through hard work, the business flourished and gained a strong reputation. But in a single moment, the war destroyed my office, my workshop, and the years of effort I had poured into building them.
“The war didn’t just take my job … it took my entire life”
In 2022, I invested all my savings to build my home, dreaming of a stable life with my wife and daughter. But just a year later, my home was reduced to rubble, and our lives turned into an endless cycle of displacement, without shelter, security, or income.
During the war, I tried to start over. I ran a small food stall, but with skyrocketing prices, I couldn’t keep up. I lost everything again, and the burden of survival only grew heavier.
“I am not asking for the impossible, just a chance to rebuild my life”
I need your support to provide my family with a dignified life, far from this devastation. Every donation, no matter how small, is a step toward standing on my feet again.
Since the beginning of the war, my family and I have faced unimaginable hardships due to financial struggles and lack of income. Our once-comfortable life turned into a nightmare. We were forced to leave our home in northern Gaza for over a year without taking our belongings. Eventually, it was completely destroyed, leaving us scattered with nothing…
Because of the war, I lost everything, my home, my job, my sense of security, and even my health, as I lost a significant amount of weight due to starvation and illness.
