Help Morgan's Family Create Lasting Memories

Update....Morgan has started a new regiment of chemotherapy. This regiment is supposed to be more aggressive at fighting the cancer. But at Stage 4, we are now looking at maintenance and keeping the cancer from spreading more. Morgan is in good spirits and is enjoying time with her family and friends. With that said, the struggle continues. With July here already, Morgan and her family are struggling to cover all of their obligations and bills. Rent is due and Morgan and her family are still a little short of covering the full rent. However, Morgan is still trying every avenue to cover the last little bit that they need. My friend Morgan is a grandmother that has been raising her granddaughter Aurora since she was very small. Aurora thinks of Morgan as her mother, not just her grandmother. She is dependent on Morgan and is struggling with Morgan's Stage 4 cancer diagnosis. Family is everything to Morgan and she tries hard to keep the family together.

Since her diagnosis and the changes in the staging of her cancer, she had to stop working for a while during Chemotherapy treatment. Morgan has exhausted all of her Washington Paid FMLA, other resources and has had to return to work on reduced hours. This has made it very difficult for Morgan to support her family. She works with the public and due to her immune system being compromised due to chemotherapy, her employer has made accommodations for her. But the few hours a day that she is able to work, does not pay the bills. I know that it is not easy for Morgan to ask for help. Especially from strangers. She is a proud woman trying to figure out how to keep her family safe, fed and with a roof over their head.
