Help Morgan Clarke (Gothenburg, Sweden) through his Surgery
Donation protected
Hello all,
With the continued prayers and interest of all, we write to share that our cousin Morgan will be undergoing significant surgery in Sydney. This procedure is a critical step toward improving his mobility and long-term health, but it comes with considerable physical and financial challenges, Morgan's surgery will be costing the family approximately £25k.
Morgan has struggled with recurring knee dislocations caused by CMT (Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease), which is a hereditary condition that can lead to serious disabilities in later life. This has led to his left kneecap being tilted and misaligned, increasing the risk of joint wear and arthritis.
His surgery will involve:
MPFL reconstruction to stabilize the kneecap
Realignment of the shinbone attachment to improve patellar tracking
Correction of toe deformities on both feet
This combined procedure will help ensure that Morgan’s knee remains stable and significantly reduce his risk of future dislocations and long-term joint damage.
They anticipate needing to stay in Sydney for 6 to 8 weeks. This extended time away from home involves considerable expense, including accommodation, travel, and living costs.
Morgan and the family are incredibly grateful for the love and support they have already received.
If you feel able to make a contribution, however small, to help Morgan we would be very thankful.
Many thanks
